MINSK, Aug 9 (PRIME) -- An agreement on Russia's U.S. $1.5 billion loan to Belarus to finance imports replacement is at a final stage of preparation, Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko told SB Belarus Segodnya on Tuesday.

"A draft agreement on allocation of a $1.5 billion loan by the Russian side is at a final stage thanks to the approval of the president. Seven projects totaling $330 million seen by the sides as urgent will be started until the end of the year," Golovchenko said.

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko earlier offered joint projects with Russia in order to replace Western imports during the sanctions times.
